With GetMySocial, you now have full control over how your links behave inside in-app browsers such as Instagram, Facebook, Threads, or X. This allows you to balance compliance, safety, and conversion.
Options for landing pages
When creating or editing a landing page, you can choose between three modes:
No Deeplinks (default, recommended)
Visitors stay in the in-app browser. This is the safest option for Meta compliance.Deep Link on Page Load
The link automatically redirects as soon as the page loads. Best for maximum conversion outside Meta platforms.Deep Link on Button Click
The redirect only happens when the visitor taps a button. This offers a good balance between compliance and conversion.
Options for direct links
When creating or editing a direct link, you can choose between:
Auto-escape on Page Load (default)
Visitors are automatically redirected as soon as the link opens. No Deeplinks
Visitors stay in the in-app browser for maximum safety on Meta platforms.
How to configure
Landing pages: Go to step 6 (Advanced Options) when editing a landing page, then open the Deeplink Behavior tab and select your preferred option.
Direct links: When creating or editing a direct link, you will find the Deeplink Behavior setting directly in the link settings or under the Advanced Options tab (if using SafePage).
Special cases
TikTok and Snapchat: These apps have their own escape system. Your deeplink configuration will be ignored for them.
Best practice
For Meta platforms (Instagram, Facebook), we strongly recommend using No Deeplinks or Deep Link on Button Click. For other platforms, you can choose the automatic redirect to maximize conversion.
